Plenty of interest in Kentville election
Who’s in, who’s out and who’s new in the Oct. 15 election
Four years ago, only one newcomer ran for Kentville council and the town residents opted to return all six councillors, plus Mayor Dave Corkum, to council chambers.
This time around, it’s a whole new ballgame.
With the Oct. 15 municipal election quickly approaching, a number of candidates have already put their names forward to run for mayor and council. There will be at least one new face around the council chambers, as a newcomer will have to fill the seat left vacant by the recent death of Coun. Nola Folker- Hill. Who the rest of the councillors and the mayor will be is still not known.
Meet the candidates who have already declared their interest in running and have reached out to the Valley Journal-Advertiser to be included in this piece. Other towns and the county will be featured in upcoming editions.
