The Mist films in Windsor

It’s the sort of excitement that viewers of The Mist can expect when it airs sometime next year.

Traffic was blocked on Gerrish Street for part of the afternoon on Aug. 15, to allow for filming to proceed.

Businesses are remaining open during the filming, and some residents stopped their afternoon walk to check out the action.

Windsor is the site for many of the ex- terior shots of the show, which was picked up as a series on Spike TV in the U.S.

The Mist is an adaptation of a Stephen King novella of the same name, wherein a mysterious fog-like mist envelops a small town that hides monstrous creatures inside.

Drone footage of the town is also expected to take place this week.

Filming is expected to continue until November.
