Connecting farmers with shoppers at Windsor Superstore

WINDSOR - Micayla Webster of Webster Farms was on hand on Aug. 5 for a Meet the Grower event at the Windsor Atlantic Superstore.

Webster Farms is a third generation, diversified family farm located in Cam- bridge Specializing in strawberry and raspberry, dry bean, rhubarb and winter rye production, Webster also operates a seasonal mill for the manufacture of wooden berry boxes and flats.

Superstore’s Grown Near You pro- gram promotes local produce. Through the program, customers have the opportunity to learn more about who’s behind their food as local producers visit Atlantic Superstore locations in the Annapolis Valley and across the Maritimes during harvest season this summer and fall. Additional local grower visits in the Valley will take place at the New Minas Atlantic Superstore on Sept. 10 with Van Meekeren Farms and Oct. 7 with Randsland Farms.
