Failed to re­port to sex of­fender reg­is­tra­tion cen­tre

Scott Lee Gray, 42, of Windsor, has been fined for fail­ing to com­ply with an obli­ga­tion to re­port to the Sex Of­fender In­for­ma­tion Reg­is­tra­tion Act (SOIRA) reg­is­tra­tion cen­tre when­ever re­quired for life.

Gray is ob­li­gated to re­port be­tween 11 months and one year af­ter he last re­ported to the reg­is­tra­tion cen­tre.

Gray was present in Windsor pro­vin­cial court in cus­tody on other mat­ters on May 9. He pleaded guilty to the charge. Judge Alan Tufts fined Gray a to­tal of $325.

Gray com­mit­ted the of­fence in Windsor be­tween Aug. 11 and Dec. 6, 2016.

Breathal­yser of­fences

Ran­dolph Lee Bryski, 54, of Kentville, has been fined and sen­tenced to pro­ba­tion for hav­ing care or con­trol of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle while his blood al­co­hol level ex­ceeded the le­gal limit.

Bryski pleaded guilty to the charge on May 9. Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek fined Bryski a to­tal of $1,690, im­posed a one-year driv­ing pro­hi­bi­tion against him and sen­tenced him to one year of re­port­ing pro­ba­tion.

Bryski com­mit­ted the of­fence in Ber­wick on March 9. The le­gal blood al­co­hol limit is 80 mg of al­co­hol in 100 ml of blood. Bryski gave breathal­yser read­ings of 240 and 240.

Mean­while, Brodie Arthur Greene, 22, of Har­mony, was also fined for hav­ing care or con­trol of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle while his blood al­co­hol level ex­ceeded the le­gal limit.

Greene pleaded guilty to the charge on May 9. Van Der Hoek fined Greene $1,300 and im­posed a one-year driv­ing pro­hi­bi­tion.

Greene com­mit­ted the of­fence in Green­wood on March 19, when he gave breathal­yser read­ings of 90 and 90.

Re­fused breathal­yser

Paul Vin­cent Hof­fer, 62, of We­ston, has been fined for re­fus­ing to com­ply with a de­mand made to him by a po­lice of­fi­cer to pro­vide sam­ples of his breath for anal­y­sis to de­ter­mine the con­cen­tra­tion, if any, of al­co­hol in his blood.

Hof­fer pleaded guilty to the charge on May 9. Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek fined Hof­fer $1,300 and im­posed a oneyear driv­ing pro­hi­bi­tion.

Hof­fer com­mit­ted the of­fence in Cold­brook on Jan. 25. The le­gal blood al­co­hol limit is 80 mg of al­co­hol in 100 ml of blood.

Time deemed served for pro­ba­tion of­fence

Ja­nine Alisa Janes, 41, of Windsor, has been sen­tenced to time deemed served for fail­ing to com­ply with pro­ba­tion.

Janes pleaded guilty to the charge on May 2. The mat­ter was ad­journed to May 5 for sen­tenc­ing. Judge Jean Whalen sen­tenced Janes to one day in cus­tody deemed served and fined her $100 in vic­tim sur­charges.

Janes com­mit­ted the of­fence in Windsor on March 1.

Re­cog­ni­zance of­fence

Colton Charles Dempsey, 20, of South Kingston, has been handed a sus­pended sen­tence with pro­ba­tion for fail­ing to com­ply with his re­cog­ni­zance.

Dempsey pleaded guilty to the charge on May 9. Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek handed him a sus­pended sen­tence with six months of re­port­ing pro­ba­tion. Dempsey was fined $100 in vic­tim sur­charges.

Dempsey com­mit­ted the of­fence in Kentville be­tween Oct. 9 and Dec. 26, 2016. A charge of fail­ing to com­ply with his un­der­tak­ing was with­drawn.
