• 50th annual Christmas Bird Count — Kingston; a 12-km radius circle extends from Aylesford to Lower Middleton, and from Margaretsville to South Tremont. Anyone with a bird feeder living in that area can help by observing for all or part of that day and by notifying the compiler in advance if any uncommon or unknown species come to it. • Chase the Ace — At the Black River Community Hall, 989 Deep Hollow Rd. This is held the first and third Saturdays of the month. Ticket sales are from 6-7:45 p.m. with the draw at 8 p.m. Three tickets cost $5. Canteen available.
