• What’s Brewin Coffee Time — Wednesdays, 9:30–11 a.m., 106 Greenwich Rd. (across form Noggin’s Corner Farm). Freewill donation, proceeds for community hall.

• 50th annual Christmas Bird Count — Kingston; a 12-km radius circle extends from Aylesford to Lower Middleton, and from Margaretsv­ille to South Tremont. Anyone with a bird feeder living in that area can help by observing for all or part of that day and by notifying the compiler in advance if any uncommon or unknown species come to it. • Chase the Ace — At the Black River Community Hall, 989 Deep Hollow Rd. This is held the first and third Saturdays of the month. Ticket sales are from 6-7:45 p.m. with the draw at 8 p.m. Three tickets cost $5. Canteen available.

• Chase the Ace — Ticket sales will be available every Saturday at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #098 Kingston until winning jackpot number is drawn. Tickets cost three for $5, and are sold from 1-3 p.m., with the draw at 3:30 p.m. Must be over 19 years of age to purchase tickets.

• Kentville Legion Dance — At 9 p.m. at the legion on River Street in Kentville. Cost: $8 per person. Adults only. Bar and kitchen available. Music by Bob Deveau.

• Pizza and a Movie Night — At the Wilmot Baptist Christian Fellowship Centre, 208 Dodge Rd., in Wilmot.

Pizza is served at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6 p.m. The movie this month is Christmas Grace.
