• Eagle Watch Launch — KITPU launches the 27th Eagle Watch at 6 p. m. at the Sheffield Mills Community Centre, Black Hole Road, Sheffield Mills, with a First Nation Pow Wow and singing group and a light supper. — Ticket sales will be available every Saturday at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 098 Kingston until winning jackpot number is drawn. Tickets cost three for $ 5, and are sold from 1- 3 p. m., with the draw at 3: 30 p. m. Must be over 19 years of age to purchase tickets.

• Church Service — At 2: 30 p. m. at the Forest Hill Baptist Church, except the fourth Sunday, which is the Hymn Sing evening.

• Dance — From 9 p. m. to 12: 30 a. m. at the Berwick Lions Hall. Music by Ruth Manning and the Prospector­s. Cost: $ 8 at the door; there will be a 50/ 50 draw and a door prize draw for $ 100 worth of fuel from Fuel for Less.

• Breakfast — At St. James Anglican Church, 8– 10 a. m. Freewill offering with a $ 7 minimum.

• Blood Donor Clinic — Held by Canadian Blood Services at the Kentville Fire Hall, Jan. 31 from 5– 8 p. m. and Feb. 1 from 1– 3 p. m. and 5– 8 p. m. There are 247 appointmen­ts to fill. • Chase the Ace — At the Black River Community Hall, 989 Deep Hollow Rd. This is held the first and third Saturdays of the month. Ticket sales are from 6- 7: 45 p. m. with the draw at 8 p. m. Three tickets cost $ 5. Canteen available.

• Hike — Join the Nova Scotia Nature Trust and the Town of Wolfville for a guided Moonlit Snowshoe Hike from 7: 30– 9 p. m. at the Wolfville Watershed Nature Preserve. Forest Hill Road, Gaspereau ( which is 10 minutes outside Wolfville). Space is limited and registrati­on in advance is required. Register for one event only. To register: nature@ nsnt. ca or 902- 425- 5263. Participan­ts must bring their own snowshoes. This event is weather- and snowdepend­ent.
