McLelland, E. Lynn – It is with great sadness and gratitude for her life that we share the sudden passing of (Elinor) Lynn McLelland, 79, of Grand Pre on January 16, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth (Bessie) and Russel Hollingshead, sister Evelyn Jackson, brother and sister-in-law Glen and Corrine Hollingshead. Born and raised in Saskatoon, SK she completed training as an RN there. She was a beloved mother, sister-inlaw, aunt, grandmother and newly great grandmother who will be remembered for her love and zest for life. Her interests were wide and varied and she was a proud Happy (Rug) Hooker. Very capable, she turned her hand to everything from gardening, and furniture repair to quilting and canning. Active in the community, she was a member of the Wolfville Baptist Church, the Grand Pre Women’s Institute and also coordinated summer services at the Covenanter Church in Grand Pre. Although she retired as a nurse, she continued to be a lifelong caregiver and support to any friend in need. She is survived by her daughter, Shauna McLelland (husband Kevin Stokesbury) of Westport, MA and her son Jamie McLelland (wife Jeanette Gallant) of Whitehorse, YT; brother-in-law Ed Jackson; nieces and nephews Jerri Schmidt, Shelley and Glen Hollingshead, Doug, Don, Ron, Ken, and Gordon Jackson; Janet Jackson; Nancy Hawerschuck; numerous great nieces and nephews; grandchildren Kasey (Richard Stein), Tyrez, Taysia and Henry (Katrina Rachel) Stokesbury, Kaden and Daniel McLelland; and great granddaughter Avery Rose Stokesbury.
