Lightfoot & Wolfville and Benjamin Bridge sign on for Brigadoon’s Wine & Dash

-

Get ready to wine and dash. Yep, you read that right. Brigadoon Village recently announced that Lightfoot & Wolfville and Benjamin Bridge have signed on to support the nonprofit organization’s fourth annual Wine & Dash fundraiser.

“The participation of individuals and teams empowers the lives of children in our community living with health conditions and other life challenges by providing them with the transformative experience of Brigadoon’s camp programs,” a Brigadoon Village media release reads.

Participants will have fivekilometre, 10K and 15K routes within the Annapolis Valley to choose from, including stops for tasting wines from some of Nova Scotia’s finest vineyards. Event kit pick-up is slated for May 31.

“Brigadoon’s growth over the last seven years demonstrates the need for our camp programs and the love these children have for Brigadoon,” said David Graham, executive director of Brigadoon Village.

“We would not be able to have this impact on our community if it wasn’t for the support and cooperation we receive from Wine & Dash’s participating vineyards; Luckett Vineyards, L’Acadie Vineyards, Domaine de Grand Pre, Gaspereau Vineyards, and now, Lightfoot & Wolfville and Benjamin Bridge.”

Lightfoot & Wolfville has received numerous Atlantic Canadian Wine Awards, including Winery of the Year, since opening to the public in 2017. Benjamin Bridge is internationally known, and made the cut for the wine list at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s prestigious Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

Brigadoon’s third annual Wine & Dash event brought in more than $85,000 in support of the organization’s camp programs.
