MacDonald, Ralph Murray — 66, of Union Corner, passed away at home on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018. Ralph was born in Windsor to the late Karl Gordon and Jesse Frances (Harvie) MacDonald. He worked at Heritage Memorials for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, darts, gardening, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Ralph is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Darcy) Miner, Three Mile Plains; Jodi MacDonald, Sault Ste. Marie; and his son, Tony (Trish) Clark and family, Newport Corner; grandchild­ren, Kassandra (Mark) MacDonald, Zachary and Braeden Miner. Ralph is also survived by longtime friend and caregiver, Hilda Dimock. He is also survived by his brothers, George (Marilyn) MacDonald, Sackville; Larry (Sheila) MacDonald, Berwick; sisters-inlaw, Shirley MacDonald, Louise (Jim) Phillips and Susan Hatchard; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ralph was predecease­d by his loving wife, Peggy (Hatchard); brother, Blaine MacDonald; sisters, Joy, Maureen (and her husband, Doug Shay); brothers-in-law, Herman Hatchard; in-laws, Patty and Millie Hatchard. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. A memorial service celebratin­g Ralph’s life was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30 in the DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Garnet Parker officiated. A reception immediatel­y followed in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Private family interment was held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ralph may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of one’s choice.
