• Christmas Extravagan­za Craft and Vendor Expo — At the NSCC Kingstec Campus, 236 Belcher St., in Kentville from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be a Christmas Wish Tree, 50/50 draw, door prizes, cake/pie draw. Admission: $4 and if you bring one food hamper item, you receive $1 off your admission, or two food hamper items to get $2 off admission. Proceeds to local families in need for Christmas, and operating costs.

• Children’s Christmas Party

• 9th Annual Christmas Open House Tour — From 4-8 p.m., tour of five homes and the Kingston United Church where refreshmen­ts will be served. Tickets can be purchased, $10 per person, at Kingston Pharmasave or by calling Joann Cory at 902-7650105. Sponsored by the Kingston United Church.

• Carol Sing and Christmas Play Service — The West Brooklyn Baptist Church is holding their annual carol sing and Christmas play service at 7 p.m. Freewill offering. Refreshmen­ts to follow. Rev. Heather Card will be the pianist for the evening.

• Dance — At the Kentville Legion starting at 9 p.m. Cost: $8; adults only. Music by Route 12. Bar and kitchen available.

• Crib Tournament — At the Meadowview Community Centre, 8464 Brooklyn Street. Register at 12:30 p.m., start playing at 1 p.m.; high hand optional. Adults only; cost: $20 per team. There’s an open bar.

• Breakfast with Santa — Kentville Lions is hosting a breakfast with Santa from 8-10 a.m. at 78 River St., in Kentville. Cost: $7 for adults; $4 for children 10 years and under.

• Community Breakfast — At the Kingston Baptist Church, 695 Main St., Kingston from 8-10 a.m. There will be traditiona­l and healthy food choices. A freewill offering will be collected.

• 14 Wing Greenwood Christmas Concert — At the Annapolis Mess, 14 Wing Greenwood at 7 p.m. Presented by the 14 Wing Band and featuring Honorary Colonel Terry Kelly, Kingston and District School Choir and Canadian Military Wives’ Choir Greenwood. Concert open to the general public, military and families. Free admission. Donations will be accepted for the Upper Room Food Bank.

• Breakfast with Santa — At the Forties Community Centre, New Ross, from 8-11 a.m. Menu consist of eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, toast, juice, and tea or coffee. Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for youth ages five to 12 years; free for children under five years. Santa will be there to meet with the children.

• Hymn Sing — At the Wolfville Ridge Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Christmas program with special music by the choir and other church members. A time for fellowship and refreshmen­ts to follow. A freewill offering will be collected.

• Tree of Remembranc­e Service — At Church of the Holy Spirit, 1231 Highway 1, Lakelands, at 10 a.m.

For the 12th year, a memorial Christmas tree will be placed at the church to mark the advent and Christmas seasons. It will be decorated with ornaments in memory of family members and loved ones. The service will feature fellowship, song and celebratio­n. Info: holyspirit­lakelands.ca.

• Christmas Tea — At St. Thomas Anglican Church, in Three Mile Plains, from 1-4 p.m. Ladies and gentlemen welcome. Admission: $8. Sponsored by St. Thomas Anglican Church Ladies Guild, Three Mile Plains.

• Bookmobile Visit — At The Crossing in Windsor from 1111:45 a.m. and at the Gladys Manning Retirement Home in Windsor from 2-2:45 p.m.

• Christmas Craft Fair — At the Hants County War Memorial Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission: Freewill donation. There will be 50/50 tickets. Proceeds from both to Christmas Angels. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, baked goods, plants, homemade crafts, soaps, jewelry and much more! Table are $15, contact 902-791-4676.

• Community Christmas Service — At the St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 908 Avondale Rd., in Poplar Grove from 6:30-8 p.m. This will be an old-fashioned Christmas service with music and carols beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Holy Eucharist at 7 p.m. Celebrate the season with Rev. Lisa Vaughn, vitality diocesan coordinato­r. Free.
