Parq Van­cou­ver Ar­chi­tect: IBI Group

The de­sign: The gi­ant “ur­ban re­sort” houses a casino, eight restau­rants, two lux­ury ho­tels and 60,000 square feet of meet­ing space—but from the out­side, all we see is glit­ter­ing cop­per sid­ing. Ex­pected com­ple­tion: Fall 2017

Van­cou­ver House Ar­chi­tect: Bjarke In­gels Group

The de­sign: The twist­ing glass res­i­den­tial tower rises out of a mod­ern, an­gu­lar green­roofed liv­ing com­plex. In­gels de­scribes it as “gesamtkunst­werk”: a to­tal work of art. Ex­pected com­ple­tion: 2018
