Holt Renfrew creates a buzz with partnership
Holt Renfrew unveiled its latest designer exclusive — and the launch is creating quite a buzz. The luxury department store presided over the partnership between beauty brand Burt’s Bees and the accessories brand Ela, to release a limited-edition floralpatterned clutch and three newly released Lip Crayons. “Pairing Ela’s timeless silhouette with inspirations of spring blossoms resulted in the most beautiful Editor’s Pouch,” Alexandra Weston, director of brand strategy at Holt Renfrew, said in a press release. “I am beyond thrilled that H Project is supporting Canadian design talent and meaningful Canadian causes.” One hundred per cent of the sales from each pouch will go directly to the Pollinator Partnership Canada — with a target goal of $100,000. “Burt’s Bees Canada understands how important bees are to our ecosystem and we’re excited to give back to the hardworking pollinators through our collaboration with Ela and Holt Renfrew,” Carolyn Hungate, marketing manager at Burt’s Bees, says. In addition to benefiting bees, the design of the brightly coloured clutch was also inspired by them. “The inspiration for the ombré floral motif was the celebration of bees,” Ela Aldorsson, co-founder of the Canadian handbags brand, said in press material. “We sourced ranunculus blooms in the shades of the new Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons to create a vibrant print in our signature silhouette.” Available now through the store’s H Project department, the H Project x Ela x Burt’s Bees Editor’s Pouch is priced at $50.
