Vancouver’s Pyrrha jewelry pays it forward with diamonds
Vancouver jewelry brand Pyrrha is giving back with diamonds.
The company, best-known for its talisman creations, announced earlier this month it would sell its limited-edition Diamond Talisman for a limited time with all proceeds going to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Needless to say, diamonds and children’s charities go very well together.
The Pyrrha team reportedly raised $12,500 for Canuck Place and the success has prompted the company to continue its fundraising initiative into the holidays. From now until Dec. 31, $100 from the sale of each $348 Diamond Talisman will be donated to the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

BACHELORETTE CANADA PARTY LANDS AT PACIFIC CENTRE
Fans of Bachelorette Canada can catch up on all the dating drama in a pop-up “living room” at Pacific Centre.
Happening today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the rotunda at the downtown shopping centre will be transformed into a TV-viewing space for friends and fans to gather to watch the popular reality TV show.
“The rotunda will be transformed into a functioning living room complete with couches, coffee tables and a plasma TV showing an episode of The Bachelorette Canada,” according to a news release.
Visitors will also be able to sample Two Oceans wine while they watch B.C. bachelorette Jasmine Lorimer on her search for love.
MAC CELEBRATES HELMUT NEWTON
MAC Cosmetics is celebrating the “erotically charged and elegant work” of photographer Helmut Newton with a limited-edition collection.
The release includes three Retro Matte Liquid Lip colours, Liquid Eye Liner, Upward Lash mascara, three Nail Lacquers and a fourshade eyeshadow palette, priced from $15 to $42 each.
“MAC supports Helmut Newton’s desire to have his photographs seen, celebrated and enjoyed. He liked to push the boundaries of what is acceptable while remaining chic and dynamic,” Tiggy Maconochie, the agent for the Helmut Newton Estate, said in a news release. “Like Helmut Newton, MAC pushes boundaries in beauty, gender and beyond.”
