Erickson was frank and firm about fury for former fountain

Kudos to The Vancouver Sun for the fine essay by Lance Berelowitz. In some way he seems to have picked up the mantle of Sean Rossiter, the former urban affairs Vancouver Magazine writer.

I look forward to going to this yet-unnamed plaza in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery on the Georgia Street side.

As for the now-gone “benighted” Centennial Fountain, during the many years I knew architect Arthur Erickson, that man of punctilious style and manners, would invariably, when I asked him about the fountain, say, “F---!”
