Police are looking for a 2014 white Kia Soul missing from a Marpole home where a man and a woman were found dead Wednesday afternoon in a double homicide.

If you spot the vehicle — B.C. licence plate ACK 605 — police say to call 911. Do not approach the vehicle.

According to police, the vehicle is connected with the home and police say they don’t know where it is.

They are also seeking any other information witnesses may have.

Around 1:30 p.m., officers visited a home on West 64th Avenue near Hudson Street after receiving a request to check on the well-being of the residents. Inside, a man and a woman, both in their 60s, were found dead.

The B.C. Coroners Service is now working to confirm the identity of the victims and will reach out to the next of kin.

“It’s still very early in the investigation,” said Const. Jason Doucette.

“We’re asking anyone with information — even if it’s just a small little piece that they feel is unimportant — to give us a call and share that information with us. Every little piece of information will help in an investigation like this.”

Doucette said officers would continue to canvass the neighbourhood and look for possible security footage and witness accounts.

The initial call to police was prompted after a friend dropped by the home for a visit but noticed something that led to police being called.

Doucette did not share further details on what prompted the friend to call authorities.

He also did not comment on a possible motive, but said investigators did not believe it was a murder-suicide. There is still no timeline for when the individuals may have died before they were found by police.

The deaths mark the city’s 14th and 15th homicides of the year.

Anyone with information about the deaths or the investigation is asked to contact police at 604-7172500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800222-8477 if you wish to remain anonymous.
