WE is going to change the world

Actions taken at home and across the world are felt by everyone

- BY WE STAFF

GenWE is the theme of the 2017/2018 WE Day season! Typically known as Generation Z, these young people are a generation of kids who care about the principles of opportunity, innovation and personal impact, and want to create a movement for positive change. According to a recent Forbes article online, 60 percent of Generation WE wants to have an impact on the world, 72 percent want to start their own business and 76 percent are concerned about humanity’s effect on the planet. A socially conscious group, Gen WE is going to change the world.

To make the world a better place, we need to start locally. Small, everyday actions have the power to ignite a tidal wave of change, and when we identify local issues and causes—like bullying and accessibility—we can take meaningful action. When we come together and show our strength in numbers, Generation WE has the power to change local landscapes, for good.

Globally, Gen WE is about tackling issues beyond your local sphere, like immigration, gender equality and human rights, and expanding our horizons to build worldwide cultural and social bridges. WE’s global movement is proving that actions taken at home and across the world are felt by everyone. When we act with the world in mind, everybody wins.
