Premier’s brother dies of cancer

Pat Horgan, the older brother of B.C. Premier John Horgan, has died of cancer at the age of 71. “It’s with great sadness that we announce that Pat Horgan, Premier John Horgan’s brother, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018,” the premier’s office said in a statement released Thursday. A service will be held in Pat Horgan’s home community of Port McNeill on Feb. 10. Horgan served as a program co-ordinator at the North Island Crisis and Counselling Centre Society.
