Monster Jam truck event roars into Pacific Coliseum this weekend
Little Francis Morgan-Buckmire is a big monster truck fan and dreams about seeing them in the metal.
The Vancouver youngster (almost four) no longer need make do playing with his toy Zombie monster truck replica because he’s off to see the Monster Jam at the PNE Pacific Coliseum this weekend.
“I like monster trucks because they ’re big and fast and very noisy,” says Francis.
“I can go (this year) because I’m a big boy now and can cover my ears so they won’t hurt.”
And he’ll need those ear protectors because this year’s edition promises to be “bigger, faster and louder than ever before.”
A bunch of 12,000-pound trucks will battle it out, roaring at high speed, racing each other and performing awesome stunts along the way.
The truck lineup features World Finals champions Grave Digger, MAX-D (driven by 11-time champ Tom Meents), Zombie driven by Colt Stephens; the Vancouver debut appearance of the Team Hot Wheels truck, plus Wild Flower driven by the youngest ever female driver, 20-year-old Rosalee Ramer.
Francis learned about sharing this past year and that’s exactly what he plans to do by sharing in the excitement.
He has two pairs of Monster Jam tickets and passes for the pit party on Saturday afternoon to give away to two families.
