SETH ROGEN ON ...

-

WHEN HE KNEW HIS VOICE WOULD BECOME A ‘THING’:

“I don’t know — I think people

■ have always made fun of my laugh and ever since I was young. It was something people mocked, so it was never surprising that it was something people kind of ‘flagged,’ I guess you would say.”

“Early on in my career, people

■ would always ask me if I auditioned for voice-overs or did voice-over work and I started doing it as a result of people asking me if I did that and I’ve been in quite a few animated movies over the years and, yeah, it just seemed like I’ve always enjoyed doing it.”

HIS TRANSIT PET PEEVES:

“People who put their bags on ■ seats is lame and their feet on seats is not nice, I would say. I think that’s something that you see, people sitting in the seats that are reserved for elderly and disabled people and they themselves do not need those seats … is something that bothers me as well.”

WHO WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT BETWEEN HIMSELF AND RYAN REYNOLDS FOR THE TITLE OF VANCOUVER’S MOST LOVED SON:

“Oh, man — probably Ryan ■

Reynolds. I don’t have those box office numbers! I’m trying though, I’m trying! I’m putting in the man hours to dethrone Ryan Reynolds. I understand he has inherent advantages both career-wise and physically over me and I’m trying to — just with pure elbow grease — to overcome those advantages.”

HOW HE CELEBRATED BECOMING AN INDUCTEE TO CANADA’S WALK OF FAME WITH CREATIVE PARTNER EVAN GOLDBERG:

“We celebrated by dressing ■ like Red Green and making a video. That’s the most Canadian way you could celebrate anything, is putting on those suspenders and flannel clothing.”

WHETHER HIS MOM IS PROUD OF HIM BECOMING THE VOICE OF TRANSLINK AND GETTING ON CANADA’S WALK OF FAME:

“She’s always proud. My parents ■ are easy marks when it comes to that! But yes, she was very proud. She’s always mad that I don’t email her and tell her this stuff more. I had found out about the Canada’s Walk of Fame thing a few days before — it was a, ‘Congratulations!’ but it was first a text message where it was like, ‘You never tell me anything!’”
