-

Miss out on the West Vancouver Art Museum’s homes tour this summer?

You have another chance to get your fill of architecturally striking contemporary homes this month when the Modern Architecture + Design Society returns with its sixth annual Vancouver Modern Home Tour.

The Austin, Texas-based society will be holding the self-guided event on Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering tour-goers a chance to see what it describes as “a curated selection of (Greater) Vancouver homes that embody British Columbia’s unique modern architecture and design esthetic.”

Notes MA+DS president James Leasure in a prepared release outlining the event: “This year’s lineup features diverse and incredible designs from some of the area’s leading architects and homebuilders that we cannot wait to showcase to our tour-goers.”

Included on the tour this year is a new residence in the Dunbar-Southlands neighbourhood by SeaChange Property Development, a new partnership between BattersbyHowat Architects and Natural Balance Home Builders; a new residence in Deep Cove by Synthesis Designs; and a fully renovated West Vancouver penthouse, also the work of Synthesis Designs.

Also included are two works from Lanefab Design/Build: a laneway home in Mount Pleasant and a 2017 renovation and addition to a 1965 Arthur Erickson home in North Vancouver.

Tickets for the tour are $50.
