Limited-edition handbags available only in Vancouver

When it comes to luxury fashion, two things are coveted most: chic design and exclusivity.

A new handbag from the Italian fashion house Max Mara has both.

The handbag, created exclusively for the Vancouver market, boasts unique design elements such as fur and suede, plus, it’s very limited. As in, only 35 numbered pieces exist in the world.

Max Mara has been a fashionable presence in the city for more than 30 years, during which it has cultivated a dedicated customer base. The made-in-Italy creation was designed to “celebrate the city’s important cultural relevance,” according to a news release from the brand, as well as give these loyal shoppers a little piece of their hometown.

The design features calf-leather top handles, rose gold-palladium hardware, a removable leather shoulder strap for easy wear, interior pockets for organization, and a detachable pocket mirror. Exterior details include powderpink mink fur and smooth suede, two materials meant to “reflect the city’s diverse environment.”

Each handbag also comes tucked inside a protective dust bag that boasts an additional nod to its inspiration city, one all Vancouverites will recognize: an outline of the city’s skyline.

The handbag is available exclusively at all Max Mara Vancouver locations and retails for $3,225.
