Shawn Conner offers five reasons to check out The World of Dance Live Tour:

-

1. As seen on TV

The World of Dance Live Tour brings stars of NBC’s hit dance competition series World of Dance (Season 2 wrapped up in September) to the stage. Available ticket packages include meet-and-greets and autograph sessions with the performers.

2. Michael Dameski

The Australian dancer entered his first competition when he was six and went on to star in the title role of Billy Elliot in Sydney and on Broadway. Dameski was crowned Australia’s Favourite Dancer for 2014 (after winning the country’s version of So You Think You Can Dance). In World of Dance’s second season, he placed second overall for his mix of gravity-defying ballet and contemporary dance moves.

3. Charity & Andres

This Springville, Utah duo of 17-year-olds impressed judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough enough to score 100 in the second season. Their dizzying combination of acro (classical dance and acrobatics) and contemporary dance needs to be seen to be believed.

4. BDash and Konkrete

With their appearances on World of Dance, the L.A. duo brought krump, a style of street dance, into the mainstream. One of their routines on the show was seemingly inspired by Stephen King ’s It, complete with evil clown makeup, and set to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.

5. Jaxon Willard

The Utah dancer scored big (96) in the show’s Duels competition. Willard, who is adopted, said his performance was inspired by his feelings about his birth mother. Ne-Yo called the 16-yearold “the epitome of vulnerability and power.”
