ENTRE’ACTE: THE WORKS OF TAIGA CHIBA

The fourth solo exhibition by artist Chiba continues his mixed media approach, such as seen in In the Realm of Maya 6, which integrates serigraph painting, Japanese brush and ink painting with natural dyes, ballpoint pen and embroidery. These paintings are inspired by both Maya, the Hindu goddess of visions, and the Mayan peoples of Central America. The pieces have been described as being surrealist and hypnotic.
