Bieber fronts T-shirt campaign

-

Justin Bieber has helped to design a T-shirt collection to raise money for animals affected by the California wildfires.

The Canadian-born singer announced this week that he has joined forces with fashion house x karla to develop three different items, bearing his likeness, in an effort to generate funds for the Humane Society, which recently launched an initiative to aid “animals hurt and displaced in the fires.”

“xkarla will donate a portion of proceeds to the Humane Society to help animals hurt and displaced in the fires,” Bieber tweeted with a link to the designs he has helped come up with.

The collection includes white T-shirts, dubbed The Baby, which feature an image of the What Do You Mean hitmaker in profile. The same graphic appears on The Original, and there’s an additional item showing the star taking off a white shirt.

The 24-year-old is one of several high profile stars taking part in helping those affected by the deadly event — Vagrant Records co-founder Rich Egan is selling an I Believe in California shirt, while stars like Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus and the members of Metallica have made large donations to charities focused on the relief effort following the deadly fires.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently hosted a cookout for firefighters working to contain the Woolsey blaze that destroyed parts of Malibu, and Lady Gaga visited shelters housing fellow evacuees forced to leave their homes, providing pizza and coffee.

Since the fires broke out on in early November, more than 80 people have lost their lives and more than 500 others are still missing across Northern California’s Butte County and Southern California.
