Honda reveals Canadian pricing for Passport
Honda has revealed the Canadian pricing for its adventureready CUV, the 2019 Passport, which goes on sale on March 15 in Canada, reviving a nameplate not seen since the truck left the market in 2002.
Pricing starts at $41,990 for the Passport Sport, $45,590 for the Passport EX-L, and $48,990 for the top-of-theline Passport Touring.
The original Passport was a rebadged Isuzu, but this time it’s all Honda. The Passport fills out Honda’s lineup by adding a vehicle smaller than the Pilot but larger than the CR-V.
Honda’s i-VTM4 torquevectoring all-wheel drive is standard on the Passport, as is a 3.5-litre i-VTEC V6 which churns out 280 horsepower. Fuel economy is rated at 12.5 L/100 km city, and 9.8 highway, for a combined figure of 11.3.
The five-seater SUV offers best-in-class passenger space and available in-vehicle WiFi with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An eight-inch display audio system, heated and ventilated front seats and wireless phone charging are also available.
The Passport offers an optional Adventure Package and an Urban Package. These Honda accessories add some more flair to the CUV and give it a cool off-roader look. More than just a dress-up package, the Adventure Package also allows outdoor gear such as bikes, kayaks, skis and snowboards to be easily mounted to the exterior.
