The product: Ikea x Virgil Abloh Markerad collection

Why we love it: Virgil Abloh is, without a doubt, one of the buzziest (and perhaps busiest) design creatives at the moment.

Whether in his role as a fashion designer (for his own label Off-white and for the men’s division of Louis Vuitton), an entrepreneur, an artist or as a DJ — Abloh’s creations are coveted. And his latest collaboration with the Swedish retailer Ikea will be no different.

After successfully kicking off with a collaboration in 2017, Abloh has created a collection of 15 products that are, “designed to make the ultimate design statement in your home,” according to a news release.

“It’s about elevating the anonymous, everyday icons that we use without noticing. When we put a doorstop on one of the legs of an ordinary chair we create something unexpected — an interruption,” Abloh said in the release of the collection, which is titled Markerad.

The collection includes a green carpet with the words “WET GRASS” emblazoned on it in the middle, a solid pine-and-glass mirror with an interestingly abstract corner detail, and a simply stylish daybed made using lacquered pine — to name a few.

Getting your hands on a piece of this coveted collection may be tricky. The retailer announced it will make the pieces available to Ikea Family members (a free loyalty program) starting at 6 a.m. on Nov. 1. Each store will give wristbands to the first 300 shoppers on a first come, first served basis. The remaining pieces will then be made available to the general public at noon. There will be a limit to the number of pieces each person can purchase, according to the news release.

Be prepared to stand in line. The price: From $9.99 to $349
