Two people were sent to hospital after being injured in a car crash near a Burnaby film set on Monday evening.

NBC Universal spokesman Jonathan Fieweger has confirmed that a car crashed in a parking lot associated with the Netflix production of Brand New Cherry Flavour, and that the incident involved two people associated with the production.

The horror miniseries that will stream on Netflix stars Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel), Catherine Keener (Get Out) and Manny Jacinto (The Good Place).

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. in what’s believed to be a crew parking lot at 7155 11th Ave.

B.C. Emergency Health spokeswoman Shannon Miller said paramedics were called at 9:32 p.m. on Monday about a driver who suffered a medical issue while driving in the parking lot.

Miller said both the driver and a passenger were taken to hospital in stable condition.

According to WorkSafeBC, the incident wasn’t reported immediately, as required by law.

“The employer is now required to conduct an employer incident investigation report, which must be submitted to WorkSafeBC within 30 days,” spokesman Ralph Eastman said in an email.

It’s the second such incident in B.C. in four days. On Friday, a truck driver on the Okanagan set of Ron Perlman’s film The Last Victim lost control when the driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while filming a scene.

Sources told TMZ one person suffered a minor foot injury, but no one was taken to hospital.

WorkSafeBC is investigating.
