Beach House reopens with strong wine and martini list

- ANTHONY GISMONDI

After a lengthy restoration, West Vancouver’s Beach House restaurant has reopened.

The restaurant has a renewed focus on fresh seafood, but remains true to its roots as a place to have a casual lunch by the beach, celebrate a special occasion over dinner, or sit, sip, and take in one of the best seaside views in the Lower Mainland.

From seafood towers to chorizo mussel pots, the new menu is accompanied by an inspired martini list and the 109-wine strong, revamped wine list. There will be two daily happy hours from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to closing, as well as half-price bottles of wine on Wednesdays and “Seafood Sunday.”

The Beach House is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and longer on the weekends. You can make reservations online at thebeachhouserestaurant.ca, but a portion of seats are kept

available for walk-in guests (150 25th St, West Vancouver).

The 2020 Vancouver International Wine Festival takes place Feb. 22 to March 1.

The theme country is France, and if you are planning on attending and staying in the city, the festival offers reduced rates on hotel rooms in conjunction with stayvancouverhotels.com.
