DEMMERY, Greg

-

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory William Demmery on May 22, 2020. He was born in Kamloops BC in 1952, predeceased by his parents, Geoff and Bobbie Demmery. He will be deeply missed by daughters, Jennifer Demmery (Tyler Scott), Sarah Demmery Wong (Mike Wong) their children Logan, Greyson, Lochlan whom Greg loved so much as well as his brother Alex (Ellen), niece Alexis, the mother of his children Joanne (the love of his life) and the Skinner family. Greg grew up in Vancouver in the early Fifties at 2702 Williams Street where he and his brother's friends spent many nights listening to and playing music to their heart's content. 'Hey Kid' was the greeting at the Demmery house where all were welcomed. Greg attended Lord Nelson elementary and graduated from Templeton High School in 1970. He was a talented boxer; so fast no one could catch him. He boxed at the Astoria Hotel and turned down an opportunity to go to the Olympics to pursue music. When Greg became a father, his career changed and he became a top salesman for Madison products and then later formed his own company, Demcon Sales. Greg was quick to brag about his two daughters Jennifer and Sarah who were the light of his life. They enjoyed quoting their favourite movie lines together which brought endless laughter. The type that makes your stomach hurt and eyes water. He had an incredible spirit, an infectious energy and famous for out-talking anyone with his quick wit.

Greg will forever be in our hearts as our "Sunshiny Day" and our "Ambassador of Quan". Celebration of Life jennifer.demmery@gmail.com
