It is with deep sadness that the family of William James Alexander Blake "Jim" announce his passing on June 8, 2020 at the age of 86. He is survived by his true love of 64 ½ years, Martha Blake "Marty"; daughter, Janice Blake-uglanica and her husband, Chris Uglanica. Jim was predecease­d by his parents, William and Grace; sisters: Elizabeth Blake, Margaret Fawcett and Ethel Strong; nephew, Jerry Fawcett and niece, Maureen Wiley. Jim was a Freemason with Patricia Lodge, Al Shamal Shriner and a Shriner Clown "Buzz". He worked for the CNR to get his machinist papers then went on to work for Air Canada for 34 years. He was a hard worker and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed many activities such as, curling, skiing, golfing, fishing and travelling abroad. For 19 years Jim and Marty were snowbirds and would go to Yuma, AZ where they would volunteer their time at the Yuma Lakes C.R.A Park. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and volunteere­d for many organizati­ons in his community. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to Al Shamal Shriner’s Transporta­tion Fund, 14510-142 Street, Edmonton, AB, T6V 1H9 as this cause was dear to his heart. A Celebratio­n of his Life will be done at a later date due to COVID 19. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Jerzy Bialczak, Dr. Imran Chaudhry and the staff at the Sturgeon Hospital, Unit 15.
