Thank you from the Legion
On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 554, Rockland, Ontario, we would like to thank all those who participated to make our March 25 Silent Auction fundraiser event at Powers Hall very successful and enjoyable.
Special thanks go out to the Knights of Columbus, Council 6198, for their kind donation of the cost of the hall. Their continued support of our branch is deeply appreciated.
We would also like to thank Sylvia AsheBullard and Derrick Scott for acting as our emcees, and of course The Jewel 92.5 FM for their generous donation of air time to promote this event.
We would further like to thank all the businesses and individuals who generously donated items for the auction. In no particular order they are: Jean Coutu, Fashion Workwear, Rockland Ford, the Payette family, the Mogensen family, Accent Furniture, Knights of Columbus (Council 3211), Scotiabank, GABS, Rockland Optometry, Autopro Rockland, RONA Rockland, Belanger Chrysler, Home Hardware, Virtual Sports Zone, Barnyard Studio, Helen Martin, the Robert family, Grenon Your Independent Grocers, Giant Tiger, MP Francis Drouin, Broadway Bar & Grill, Friendly Restaurant, Top Mode Depot, Shoppers Drug Mart, Domino’s Pizza, and Jumbo Pizza.
The face value of the donations was esti- mated to exceed $2,500.
We would also like to thank Rosalynn’s Bistro for catering the event and First Choice Entertainment for providing the music for the evening and, last but not least, all the volunteers from the Legion and Groupe Action Family Centers, for without them this event would not be possible.
