Ho for the bus rodeo!
More than three dozen seasoned professional drivers rode into Clarence Creek the end of May with one goal in mind. Each and every one of them aimed to wrangle himself or herself the champion title in the First Annual Roxborough Bus Lines (RBL) rodeo.
“Everyone did really well,” said a smiling Jennifer Frechette, one of the event coordinators for the Clarence Creek-based school transportation outfit. “We had over 40 school bus drivers participating.”
A bus rodeo is different from a standard rodeo in one important respect. Every driver involved starts out with a handicap, because they all are assigned 50 “rodeo demerit” points. The object of the rodeo
