Finalists named for Gala of Excellence awards
After a month of deliberations, the names of the 36 finalists have been revealed for the 13th edition of the Gala of Excellence.
Recognizing several Prescott-Russell entrepreneurs and businesses, there are also a few names on the list specific to the Clarence-Rockland and Alfred-Plantagenet area. Gîte Touristique O and Genêt B&B Receptions, in Plantagenet, landed finalist in the Tourism Enterprise Category, while Pneus Landriault, in Alfred, and Raymond & Associates Paralegal Services, in ClarenceRockland, were both nominated in the New Business Category.
In the Manufacturing Category, the finalists are: The Green Beaver Company, Tuque de Broue Brewery Inc., and Beau’s All Natural Brewery Company. The finalists in the Retail Category are: Graphico, L’Orignal Packing Ltée., and Boutique Joma Inc.
In the Service Enterprise Category, the finalists are: Bertrand Plumbing and Heating Inc., Battleshield Industries Limited, and Studio Shanthaly. In the Tourism Enterprise Category the finalists are: Gîte Touristique Ô Genêt B&B Receptions, Ferme l’Artisan, and Vert Fourchette.
In the New Business Category the finalists are: Raymond & Associates Paralegal Services, Graphico, and Tuque de Broue Brewery Inc. In the Young Entrepreneur Category the finalists are: Arboris, Pneu Landriault Tire Inc., and Soins d’Hygiène Dentaire RDH Dental Care.
In the Community Participation Category the finalists are: Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company, St-Albert Cheese Co-Operative, and Tuque de Broue Brewery Inc. In the Après un mois de délibérations, les noms des 36 finalistes ont été révélés dans les catégories proposées pour la 13e édition du Gala d’excellence, le 14 octobre, à la Salle des Chevaliers de Colomb à Alfred, sous le thème «Country Chic». Independent Worker Category the finalists are: Soins d’Hygiène Dentaire RDH Dental Care, Drawback Expert Canada, and La Cuisine Passionnée.
In the Agri-Food Enterprise Category the finalists are: La Bergerie des sables, Les Jardins Lamoureux, and St-Albert Cheese Co-Operative. In the Inclusive Business Category the finalists are: La Bergerie des sables, St-Albert Cheese Co-Operative, and Ferme l’Artisan.
In the Entrepreneur of the Year category the finalists are: Christine Bonneau-O’Neill, Chantal Gilet, and Tara MacWhirter. For the Jury Award Category, the finalists are: Arboris, Garden Homemade Soap, and Mexican Corn Products.
This year’s Gold sponsors for the gala are Prescott-Russell Community Development Corp., the United Counties of Prescott-Russell, and Desjardins Enterprise.
