CASTORS CLAIM WEEKEND WINS
The Clarence Creek Castors added two more wins to their season tally over the October 19 weekend.
Saturday, in Morrisburg, the Castors caged the Lions 8-1 with Austin Laprade scoring a hat trick. Samuel Gaudet punched in a pair of goals and assisted on two others. Nicholas Gaumond, Cameron Leduc, and Nathan Melée scored singles.
Also assisting on the goals were Gaumond, Leduc, Melée, Garrett Dearborn, Byron Gagne-Lavictoire, and Jacob Servant. Andrew Larivière guarded the Castors net.
The lone Morrisburg goal came from Justice Brownlee, assisted by Jack Ingram and Gregory McMullen. Justin Leclair and Riley Phillips shared goaltending duty.
Sunday afternoon in Clarence Creek, the Castors had the home ice advantage over the Vankleek Hill Cougars, taking a 5-4 win.
Austin Laprade and Jacob Servant each popped in a pair of goals for Clarence Creek with Samuel Gaudet finishing off the score. Assisting on the goals were Servant, Jeremy Aubin, Dominik Bourgeois, Nicolas Gaumond, Connor Head-Smith, and Gabriel Rouselle. Andrew Larivière guarded the Castors net.
Scoring for Vankleek Hill were Vincent Huneault, Jonathan Lacroix, Zacharie Leblanc, and Samuel Lemay. Assists came from Lemay, Nicolas Castonguay, Zack Labbé,
Trystan Lavoie, and Joey Simoneau. Nicolas Wilson and Frederick Durocher-Bourdon shared goalkeeping duty.
Sunday afternoon, over the last weekend of October, the Castors host the North Dundas Rockets.
