Blue Jays minor-leaguer Montero banned for 50 games

NEW YORK — Former Major League Baseball player Jesus Montero has been suspended 50 games after testing positive for a stimulant. Montero spent the season with Toronto’s Triple-A Buffalo Bisons team, batting .317 with 11 home runs and 60 RBIs. Because the minor-league season is now over, the suspension will take effect at the start of the next baseball season. The 26year-old Montero tested positive for dimethylbutylamine.
