Thieves steal supplies from Victoria pet food bank
More than a week after a specialized food bank was hit by thieves in Sooke, B.C., efforts are underway to rebuild the stores of dog and cat food and pet supplies. In a Facebook post, Victoria Pet Food Bank president Margarita Dominguez confirmed hundreds of kilograms of pet food, along with supplies such as leashes, bowls and dog coats, were stolen from a shed used by the group in the Victoria suburb. The theft was reported to Sooke RCMP, but no arrests have been made.
