Three hurt when driver runs red light, ends up in backyard

Three people were taken to hospital after a car ran a red light, hit a cement wall and retaining wall and landed in a backyard Thursday afternoon. Waterloo Regional Police said a car was in the area of Columbia Street and Zurich Drive at 1:14 p.m. when it went through a red light, colliding with another vehicle. Police said the driver of the car was a 22-year-old male.
