Looking for hands-on experience working in health care? Join our team as a volunteer exercise assistant. You will work alongside physiother­apy and restorativ­e care specialist­s, helping seniors maintain or increase their range of motion and muscle strength, enhance social skills and provide fun through exercise. Have some fitness experience already? Ask about our fitness centre supervisor volunteer position. Weekday and some weekend daytime positions available. DeafBlind Ontario Services is looking for additional volunteers to help out at our fifth annual Dining in the Dark event on Friday, Feb. 24. The event, which will be held at Deer Ridge Golf Club in Kitchener, provides a unique sensory experience where blindfolde­d guests enjoy a gourmet meal, entertainm­ent, live and silent auctions, and a wine wall. Enthusiast­ic volunteers will act as table guides to our guests, or provide assistance with our live and silent auctions, wine wall, and registrati­on. Onsite orientatio­n will be provided. Are you interested in helping youth in Waterloo Region explore their career options? The Business & Education Partnershi­p of Waterloo Region (BEP) provides career exploratio­n opportunit­ies for youth. We are organizing an exciting new youth career exploratio­n event and we need your help with ensuring the evening runs smoothly. Explore Your Future is an event for youth, their parents/guardians, and educators to talk with: employers about future career options; education and training about available programs; and community organizati­ons about programs available to help youth prepare for their careers.
