Rat poison kills local dog, humane society investigating

A dog’s death due to rat poison is being investigated by the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. A toxicology report on the shepherd-type dog revealed the animal had been poisoned with rodenticide on Feb. 1. The incident occurred at one of two locations, at West Court Place in Waterloo or Snyder’s Flat Road in Bloomingdale. The humane society would like to hear from anyone whose dog may have died suddenly without known cause or may have visited one of the two locations. Insp.
