Critics scoff at all-male photo of GOP health-care talks

A lack of women in a photo of negotiations over the Republican health-care bill that was tweeted out by U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence has drawn criticism from Democrats. The photo shows Pence during negotiations with the House Freedom Caucus. About two dozen men can be seen in the photo and not a single woman. Sen. Patty Murray of Washington state retweeted the photo and sarcastically added: “A rare look inside the GOP’s women’s health caucus.” Repeal of a maternity care requirement is among the concessions the Freedom Caucus was demanding in exchange for support of the bill.
