Re: Canada Goose CEO vows to continue to use fur in coats — March 17
I have news for Canada Goose CEO Dani Reiss. When your grandfather founded the company 60 years ago, real fur was in fashion. This is no longer the case, as my closet of real fur coats, courtesy of my mother and aunts, can attest to. I don’t feel comfortable socially or ethically wearing them. Would you like to repurpose
them? Now that would be the environmentally responsible thing to do. Also, faux furs today are so realistic it is very hard to tell the difference against those of better quality.
Just because your grandfather may have smoked, used a spittoon, or used real furs in his coats, doesn’t make it relevant or acceptable by today’s standards. Joan Slover St. Clements
