Laurier’s Schenck, Morrison off to all-star game

Two Wilfrid Laurier University women’s basketball players will be participat­ing in the tenth-annual Ontario University Athletics (OUA) women’s basketball all-star game on Saturday at York University. Laurier Golden Hawks fifthyear guard and Kaitlyn Schenck will be playing for Team Wilson after leading the team in scoring, averaging 15.4 points per game. It is the first time in her career she has been named an OUA all-star. Twotime OUA first-team all-star and Golden Hawks guard Nicole Morrison will play across from her team on Team McAleenan. She averaged 14.9 points per game in 19 games this season, finishing second on the team behind Schenck. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the Tait McKenzie Centre. Admission to the event is free.
