Still going strong

I was quite young in 1967 when Canada turned 100. However, I clearly recall my uncle, a Catholic priest, stating in a most definitive manner: “Well, it is our centennial, but Canada certainly won’t make it as a country for another 100 years.” This was upsetting, something I still remember.
