Man seriously hurt after assault

A targeted assault left a man with significant injuries on Friday night, say Waterloo Regional Police. Police said the assault occurred at 9 p.m. on Simcoe Street near Market Street in the Galt area of Cambridge. Police said the man was hurt with an edged weapon.
