Does making moments matter for others motivate you? Lisaard House and Innisfree House, two residential hospices in Waterloo Region, are looking for caring and compassionate men and women to help raise the quality of life for their residents and visitors. Picture yourself helping once per week for three hours at our reception desk, doing laundry, or for three to four hours in the kitchen preparing meals or baking. These volunteer roles provide the opportunity for personal growth through training, experience, and social interaction. Have you experienced the death of an infant or child and are in a place in your own grief where you could support other bereaved parents? Bereaved Families of Ontario - Midwestern Region is recruiting volunteers for our fall facilitator training. This comprehensive training prepares you with a strong understanding of peer support, along with the skills and confidence to co-facilitate groups. Your time and compassion have a powerful and lasting impact on the families you support and on your own grief journey. Our next facilitator training takes place the first week of November. Monica Place for Pregnant and Parenting Youth and their Children is seeking volunteer board members. Help the organization through a period of exciting growth and development.
