Police release sketch of man wanted in assault investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have released a sketch of a man they want to speak with as part if an investigation into an assault that occurred outside the Sunrise Shopping Centre this week. At 9 p.m. on Tuesday, a 28-year-old Kitchener woman was assaulted with a stun gun by a man who approached her as she was returning to her vehicle after shopping. The woman ran away and contacted police. Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his early to mid-20s with puffy cheeks, a soft-spoken voice, and no noticeable accent. He is five-foot-four inches tall with a heavier build and has black hair with puffy curls behind his ears. He does not have facial hair. He was last seen fleeing the area at a high speed in a light coloured vehicle, wearing a black T-shirt with a design on the front and baggy knee-length shorts.
