Three youths charged after cellphone robbery

Three youths face robbery charges after another youth was robbed of his cellphone on Thursday. The robbery happened at 7 p.m. in the area of Kinzie and Burgetz avenues, in southeast Kitchener. Police say three youths, one brandishing a knife, approached the other youth. No one was hurt. Waterloo Regional Police were called to the scene and found three suspects. They are charged with robbery, possession of a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance. Police did not recover the cellphone or knife.
