Funny and poignant, Love with Leila, a one-man/woman show

Green Light Arts is presenting a most unusual theatrical event this week, a comedy running until Oct. 14, 8 p.m. at the Registry Theatre, 122 Frederick St., Kitchener. The one man show “Love with Leila” written and performed by Izad Etemadi, has the tag line “She’s fierce, she’s bearded, she’s looking for love.” Leila is a charming, flamboyant and bearded Persian woman who lives to please her parents and hopes to lose herself in love. In 2016 the touring show won the 2016 award for Best Independent Production from Broadway world following an off-Broadway show in New York City.
