Housing market breakfast forum
The Canadian Real Estate Association’s chief economist and CMHC economists will be participating in the annual Housing Market Insights breakfast and forum at Bingemans Marshall Hall.
Registration for the Nov. 22 forum is open to anyone interested in learning more about Canada’s housing market – how it ties to the global picture, and what has been happening in the Greater Golden Horseshoe and Kitchener-Waterloo real estate markets.
“We are excited to have Canadian Real Estate Association’s Chief Economist, Gregory Klump join our forum for the first time,” says KWAR President James Craig.
The Housing Insights Forum will include breakfast, presentations from KWAR, CREA, and CMHC, a moderated Q&A, and networking and exhibitors.
Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation’s Ted Tsiakopoulos, Ontario Regional Economist, and Erica McLerie, Senior Market Analyst, are among those expected to participate.
“This past year has been one of tremendous flux,” says Craig. “Changes to mortgage eligibility, expansions of rent control, a nonresident speculation tax in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region, and increasing interest rates, are all conspiring to make for a very complicated and difficult to predict housing market.”
