What’s open and closed during the holiday season
Here’s a short list of what’s open and closed during the Christmas holiday season:
Regional administrative offices will close on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.
Cambridge administrative offices are closed until Jan. 2.
Kitchener administrative offices will close on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.
Waterloo administrative offices will close on Monday, Tuesday, and Jan 1.
Grand River Transit will run on holiday service from Dec. 25 to Jan. 7. On New Year’s Eve, rides will be free after 6 p.m. and on New Year’s Day routes will operate on a Sunday service schedule. Visit www.grt.ca for the full schedule.
Fairview Park mall, Conestoga Mall, Cambridge Centre Mall, and the Village of St. Jacobs and outlets will close Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
LCBO and Beer Store locations are closed on Dec. 25 and 26, and on Jan. 1
Canada Post is closed with no collection or delivery of mail on Dec. 25 and 26, and on Jan. 1.
The Region of Waterloo International Airport will operate regularly.
Kitchener and Waterloo public libraries will close from Dec. 24 to 27, and on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
Cambridge public library branches will close from Dec. 24 to Dec. 26. They will close at 4:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and remain closed on New Year’s Day.
The box office at the Aud is closed from Dec. 23 through to Dec. 25, and on Dec. 30 and Jan. 1.
Most arenas and recreation centres are on holiday hours and are closed on the statutory holidays. Call facilities in advance.
